Spring Outfits that are THE Perfect Combination of Trendy and Basic

It's no secret that I go hard for a good trend, but there's also a fine line between tapping into an of-the-moment look and going a little overboard on it. In other words, my approach to trying trends is to avoid wearing them in a way that looks too trendy if you know what I mean, which is why I keep a running list of ways to wear the season's freshest outfits that I think are the perfect combination of trendy and basic.

                        The Trend: Plain White Tee + Jeans

                                       White T-Shirt + Jeans + Sneakers/Heels

Nope, White Tee isn't just for lounging. Pair it with a jeans and trendy sneakers or party heels and VOILA! 

                       

                              The Trend: Lace-up Pieces

                             Blue Jeans + Lace-Up Top + Cap + Black Shrug  

Lace-up pieces don't have to be intimidating! I tried layering it with a simple jeans and a black shrug tied around the waist for an equally eye-catching but more wearable approach. 

                                The Trend: Boyfriend Jeans

                                                     Boyfriend Jeans + Black Tee

 

Offset the "boyfriend" vibes of these loose jeans by coordinating with a black Tee. This look may be made up of basics, but it's anything but boring!
